Upon leaving the United States Department of the Army in 1997, Reeder returned to Patton Boggs for two years, and then moved to Greenberg Traurig in 1999. He became a member of the American Law Institute in 1994. He was also one of five members of the United States Department of Defense's Base Realignment and Closure Council. He also oversaw the Army's international affairs, especially those related to NATO, Panama, and Latin America among other things, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Panama Canal Commission. As Under Secretary, he was responsible for long-range planning, material requirements, readiness, acquisition reform, infrastructure reduction, and financial management of the United States Army. In 1993, President of the United States Bill Clinton nominated Reeder as United States Under Secretary of the Army and Reeder subsequently held this office from Novemto November 12, 1997. He spent 1980-81 at the Georgetown University Law Center, receiving an LL.M. Following the passage of the Contract Disputes Act of 1978, he spent a year with the Army's Contract Appeals division. He scored his first professional touchdown on a seven-yard rush against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. Reed was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 151st overall pick in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Professional career Pre-draft measurables Reed also led Virginia with 77 receptions for 679 yards and seven touchdowns. College career Īs a freshman, Reed served as the Cavaliers' primary kick returner and returned 28 kicks for 678 yards total (25.1 average).
Reed moved from wide receiver to quarterback for his senior season and rushed for 2,100 yards and 38 touchdowns. He finished his sophomore season with 33 receptions for 900 yards and 21 total touchdowns and had 15 touchdown receptions as a junior.
He played running back as a freshman and moved to wide receiver before his sophomore year.
Reed grew up in Charlotte Court House, Virginia and attended Randolph-Henry High School.
